At Ahwa, our vision is brewed in heritage. Inspired by our roots—the fiery lifeforce of Cairo—we carry community in our coffee. It’s a tradition we proudly bring to Canada.
Back home in Egypt, coffee is about connection. Even the word "ahwa", which means “coffee” in Arabic, is layered in nuances that reflect the simple goodness of being among friends, neighbors and family. In one word, it means togetherness—the moments that feel best when we’re connected by coffee.
Ahwa also means “coffeehouse”, the place where we can relax, catch up with people or meet new ones. But most importantly, to us, ahwa represents our journey as Egyptian immigrants. This transition marks our Egyptian-Canadian pride, a story we infuse into every small-batch we roast.
